Peer Review Process

Articles or manuscripts submitted by authors to the GEMA: Journal of Gentiaras Management and Accounting must be original, have never been published, and are not being considered for publication elsewhere. All authors' manuscripts must be entered (new submission) in the OJS system through http://jurnal.gentiaras.ac.id/index.php/Gema/index. The manuscript will be checked for the scope of the manuscript to see if it fits the scope of the GEMA: Journal of Gentiaras Management and Accounting. The manuscript is then double-blind reviewed by at least two qualified international and national reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. The reviewers remain anonymous to the authors during and after the review process. At the same time, the identity of the authors is also unknown to the reviewers. The reviewers make suggestions for improvement and a decision on whether the manuscript is accepted or not. The criteria that reviewers are asked about are originality, contribution to the field, clarity of method, clarity of explanation of results, sharpness of analysis, and correctness of citing relevant previous work.  The usual time for the review process is about 4 weeks.   Prior to publication, the manuscript will go through a layout and proofread process by a team of editors. To scan for plagiarism, GEMA: Journal of Gentiaras Management and Accounting uses Turnitin media to see the level of plagiarism.
